Hailing from Ottawa, Chef Karen Barnaby has also spent time in Toronto and Vancouver, where she did everything from co-writing cookbooks to teaching at cooking schools.

Currently, Barnaby is the Chef de Cuisine at the Fish House in Stanley Park, where she draws inspiration from the ingredients themselves. Barnaby’s motto? There is really no bad food, only indifferent cooks. There should be no snobbery in food, only a desire to eat well and share your knowledge.
